Currently, poor health literacy costs the US hundreds of billions annually due to a variety of factors including but not limited to poor medication adherence, poor follow-up, and poor diagnosis understanding.
In order to address this gap in healthcare, we created TeachBack, a health-tech software company whose mission is to address gaps in health literacy via an EMR-integrated machine learning software that creates personalized point-of-care “quizzes” and additional AI-generated learning resources that stimulate patient engagement and assess health understanding.
Ultimately our proprietary software will allow patients to take a more active role in their health, leading to improved health outcomes.
